The new Airdrive design paves the way for future DAIWA technology and offers smooth operation and a sensitivity you have never experienced.

Due to the reduced weight of the rotor, the drum and the pick-up arm, a lighter rotation is achieved without starting resistance, which guarantees an optimal uniform operation.

It is the first DAIWA reel equipped with the new Airdrive concept.
Reducing the weight of the rotor ensures less starting effort, as well as a faster stop, obtaining faster responses to different recovery situations.

We have reduced the wall thickness and unnecessary weight of the new Airdrive reel - in combination with the reduced weight of the rotor and pick-up, improving the balance of the reel, allowing better control on the lure.

Compared to ordinary reels, DAIWA has developed a Low-Contact structure between the axis and pinion - the Airdrive shaft.

Thanks to this technology, friction is reduced and super smooth and silent operation is optimized.
The new Airdrive concept is a combination of these elements, which allow the creation of extremely light and sensitive reels.

The Airdrive pick-up arm is the next evolutionary step in design and is perfectly assimilated to the new Airdrive concept. DAIWA has built a somewhat thinner but strong rod, which further reduces the weight at the front of the reel.

Compared to the 18' Exist, the weight of the new Airdrive Bail is reduced by 33%.
The Twist Buster technology reduces the possibility of tangling and tiresome twisting of the thread.

For the 22' Exist model, the well-known Twist Buster II technology has been further improved with Twist Buster III.
Due to the new concept, thread compression during recovery is reduced, which results in significantly less twist.

In addition, a MagSealed bucket was used on the 22' Exist, to better withstand the highest stresses, even when used for sea fishing.
