Simms was founded in 1980 by visionary angler and long-time guide John Simms. After spending decades providing customers with life-changing experiences on the world’s most majestic rivers, John realized that the waterproof overalls available at the time were not up to the task of keeping the best anglers dry, comfortable and safe on the water.

So he set out to create products worthy of a new generation of anglers who, like him, wanted to get out on the water sooner and stay out longer in all weather conditions.

The Freestone Z Stockingfoot is a waterproof overall from Simms, the result of 16,000 hours of field testing. The overalls are constructed with durable, breathable, four-layer Toray® QuadraLam™ fabrics.

The boots are compression molded for increased comfort and improved fit. Regarding the waterproofness in the main zipper area, the manufacturer chose to use a waterproof and easy-to-use YKK zipper.

In the chest area there are 4 pockets, one on the outside and one on the inside with waterproof zippers and 2 positioned on the side lined on the inside with microfleece for hand warming. As a fastening system, the overalls have two adjustable straps and an elastic belt around the waist.
